SEGAS Official Social Responsibility Program is growing and elevating. After the successful return to action in 2021, SEGAS is moving forward, building new strategies to “embrace” the whole society and act as a powerful social solidarity vehicle!
Over the last 5 years, SEGAS, has built on the momentum of the two biggest running events in Greece (Athens Half Marathon & Athens Marathon) and has partnered with more than 35 Non-Governmental Organizations, that cover a whole spectrum of initiatives (social, environmental etc.).
The Social Responsibility Program for NGOs 2022
Our Social Program offers an opportunity to NGOs to showcase their initiatives and actions and use the events’ huge platforms for fundraising opportunities!
This year, we give you the opportunity to partner with us in two different levels, with offering certain dedicated benefits:
• Charity Partner Level 1
• Charity Partner Level 2
Selection Criteria will be:
• Size of your Organization’s & years of operation
• Social Footprint of your organization
• Scope and targeted audience
• Any previous involvement either in our Charity Program and/or as a running team will be valued
For the selection of each organization SEGAS aims to cover a wide range of different societal issues, giving the opportunity to our runners to be able to run for a purpose they want to support. From organizations with resources and opportunities that have access to a large audience, to new organizations that are now starting their activities. Our goal is to include a diverse group of NGOs and to be fully representative of the needs of society.

The Official Charity Partners actively participate in the entire Athens Marathon event, sensitizing the Greek and international community on their objectives and goals, using it as an awareness tool and a donations platform.
